This will sound somewhat defeatist, but a nostr for normies would have to abstract away all jankiness in how it works, and all fiddling that everyone on nostr likes.
Everyone here is then going to screech that this new approach does stuff like caching, or doesn't use bunkers, or abstracts away keys altogether (I'm guilty as charged here).
A nostr for normies is going to have to be very un-nostr-like, and we're going to have to be okay with that.
