Why is the Mac mini so important for managing remote agents? Because it's an isolated environment? Wouldn't an old laptop serve the we purpose?
I think the ability to interface with iMessage is driving the decision, also that laptops optimize for battery life and Mac Minis can just be tucked away on a shelf with no need for a monitor.
