How does one keep the multigenerational homes/vibes going in the age of digital nomads? We’ve had a good run so far. In the jungle we’ve had casitas on our property that have had a steady flow ...

Many have the vision for creating (sustainable) communities. In reality, it's not that easy and it appears for the last few decades there are very few attempts that have succeeded. Interpersonal relations is a main factor. In talking to folks who've been in this field for a while the other top factor is money.

In the last few weeks I was brainstorming with a homesteader about these things and sort of participated in a living experiment and it's a lot easier said than done.

I think common rules, agreements and mature individuals all willing to and honoring those is a non negotiable. Also, what I heard someone say is, so much of the snags happen around things in the kitchen.

I personally lean on the side of Laura... In most situations I most certainly need my own dwelling to be in community. I need my space and my alone time in between relating and connecting.

I just arrived to spend time with a friend and her two and four year old girls and it's sweet. However, despite the possibility to stay a while I will most likely be here for just a short visit. There's familial drama which I am not all that keen on getting immersed in due to proximity. Though, I've come to help and also really love the nourishment that being around and interacting with kiddos provide.

I created this page recently that is largely geared to traveling and busy home owners seeking residential stewardship but I am totally open to variety of arrangements including what I hear you exploring. It sounds fun especially if in community with people with largely shared value systems... And what I recently found is that being open to and willingness to understand Bitcoin and Freedom tech and not vilinize it from a place of ignorance is kind of an absolute non negotiable and a deal breaker.

We live near a 200 person intentional community. It is really cool and has been going on for over 50 years. There certainly is drama 🎭 with it. But it is part of life. Nice to have community down the road, and we don’t have to abide by any of their rules. Just friends down the street.

In the velvet shadows of idealism, we often forget the tender touch of reality – fragile connections and bruised egos, a delicate dance that can either bring us closer or leave us shattered.
