To be clear, some amount of automated triage is a great idea! I’m not opposed to that.

But the specific assumption here is that community members are only allowed to contribute if a maintainer specifically already triaged a related issue? This makes sense for like, large features, but it’s just creating *more* work for the maintainers for straightforward fixes like this.

There’s gotta be a better way.

Okay, as my dad would say, “Sorry I blew up.” I guess the better way is if a human is still empowered to override the automated process, and reviews the PR in a matter of minutes. The bot message still leaves a bad taste in my mouth, but maybe it just needs some copy finessing. Maybe that’s...
