unfortunately, this kind of thing is a major driver of engagement on Bluesky. very few people are actually posting original thoughts. instead, they wait for some minor influencer or someone having manic episodes to post their thoughts, and then argue about them in quote-posts nested 3-7 deep for 24hrs until everyone forgets all about it and moves onto the next discourse. in the absence of like the NBA finals or the World Cup, this is like 80% of the content.
