I think we are constantly asked to normalize the most ridiculous shit, because we're supposed to just accept people who are power-hungry & trying to "move up".
It's like, "OBVIOUSLY this guy would want to make his boss look good, so that when his boss gets a better job, he'll take him along. What do you expect him to do? NOT advance his career?"
