We're just not supposed to be bothered by it.
We're supposed to find it normal that the person who is paid by the taxpayer to do press for a government office would be loyal to their boss & trying to advance their political career in order to advance their own.
"That's just politics, baby." And I'm the fucking weird one to be asking "wait. Why do WE pay someone to do that?"
