I think a factor in someone showing up to explain the Wikipedia definition of eugenics to me is that they probably feel they have no skin in the game.

They aren't concerned about where they are getting their information or how complete it is because this issue is not really important to them.

To them, this is purely academic—an argument over definitions, not over real-life harm happening to real people right now. They want to debate the harm completely removed from the people experiencing it.
