Why do websites like Scribd exist? They allow you to upload a text file and make it show up in all search engines, but charge a membership fee for anyone who wants to read it.

There are so many files I tried to read over the years and were only available there, so I never read them.

Who are the people who upload these rare files to a place where they know they will be unaccessible forever? Can Nostr fix this?
