Haven’t seen second one yet but I would summarize it as a relatively good adaptation of the book to film, but it still suffers from the usual big movie problems of okay acting and over dramatization. It’s watchable and fun enough for me, but I probably wouldn’t watch it again

Did you pay attention to the photography? The soundtrack? The action on part 2? And I would say the biggest hook is the religious plot. Not common and pretty tight.
