Why haven't you invited your friends and family to Nostr?
I'm not saying you should do that at all, just curious about the reasons. Especially if you think there is possibly anything that we could do...
UI/UX is a specialist role so most devs suck at it.
Furthermore, many cypherpunk devs actively cultivate an IDGAF attitude which gives them the cover they need to ignore beta testing their developments with normies.
You can't expect normies to deal with tech bullshit.
They're just not going to go spend 10 years playing catch up only to join a network that has very little network effect and even worse discoverability, where shit always breaks, and keeping your shit running requires ongoing education commitments and expenditures on cypherpunk equipment to run a relay.
No, the devs need to meet the normies where the normies are. Basically, we need Setup Wizards just like in the old days. We need you to understand that we don't know your fucking lingo. We don't know your specialty words.
You need to both speak plainly to us in your help guides, your orientation tutorials, etc. but within that plain language, you need to use your specialist terms that, without the plain language, we wouldn't understand. We need both because your labels in your user interfaces and options menus all use that highly technical jargon.
You cannot expect normies to understand dev jargon. Ever. End of story.

That's why nobody joins NOSTR.
It's because cypherpunk devs are like most devs: not conscientious.
