I know someone who tried this and the IRS started to garnish their wages and was in the process of taking their home. Next would’ve been criminal charges if they hadn’t acquiesced. They had to pay everything plus years of interest.

All of the “sovereign citizen” stuff is a scam. The people in power are not bound to the laws and regulations they create and they crush those who attempt to avoid them.
