Art for me, as an artist, is following through on a pondering, just letting the curiosity guide me as I move a thought into something tangible. The next part, selling the art, isn’t something that a lot of artists are very successful at because we would rather be in studio than in a market yelling for people to notice what our quiet, thoughtful moments produced. Separate the art from the artist and we now have our own impressions of the art, we may never understand why the artist moved in the ways they do, and the artist doesn’t get the opportunity to see how their tangible thoughts have effected others. I’m really hoping that the use of LLMs will actually trigger a human made renaissance, as people remember the power of their own imaginations, out in a field beyond the thrum of data centers.
