The US also has an incredibly confusing culture now though so that has to be considered. If my current marriage failed, I probably just wouldn't bother dating again. At least no one under 40, which is older than me.

I don't think remarriage is possible, if the marriage was a sacrament. I think you can only add on additional marriages, which is obviously problematic. For the record. What non-Catholics due doesn't really concern me.
