I retired at 60 (2011). The company I worked at for 17 years offered me my pension with a monthly bonus bump of $340/month if I exited at 60. I skedaddled! I was financially prepared, because of my lifelong frugality.
Funny enough though, my Machiavellian 'managers' expressed their doubt in my exit. As I stated to my second shift supervisor; "well, we can call it retirement, but it's not really retirement, it's more like I hate this fking job, so I'm quitting this ShiteShow.
