What’s a better term for the MSNBC/Fox/NYT/whatever companies: “corporate media” or “legacy media”?

At least some of the time it's government media.

fascists. whixh means the merger of statw and corporate. and isn't that what has happened here? when you going be a better investor? your record kind of sucks

Legacy media. Corporate media isn't necessarily a bad thing. Legacy media universally is bad, in my opinion.
Sigwo · 134w
Entertainment TV... I'd go with corporate media on those.

I prefer exacerbating hogwash. Why not both they both represent different issues with it. Corporate legacy media doesn't seem too long winded.

I would use 'legacy media' to refer to the medium e.g. print, tv, radio. I would use 'corporate media' to refer the companies engaged.
Veon 🇯🇲 · 134w
I'd say "legacy"
Yeehaw · 134w
Monomedia, probably my favourite. Ministries of Truth, 'eh' Advertisers / propagandanists, most accurate Plebs will understand "legacy media" the best I guess. Keep this updated I need to know what you land on

I like the term "legacy media". But either is fine with me.
cqwww · 134w
I've always used the term "corporate media" for MSM/legacy media, as it frames it in a way that makes the receiver hearing/reading this term realize profit incentives are the priority, not investigative journalism. Legacy media to me could include investigative journalists using print, for example...

Definitely not „legacy media“. That will not be understood while TV is still around and they have websites. Also, the need to tell people what to think will stay and find its way into new media eventually. It misses the point.
Matt Terenzio · 134w
Legacy Media includes a 100 year old family owned local newspaper so that probably wouldn't fit into the same category you are thinking about
