Where did it go wrong? I can answer this. The web was proposed in 1989 but nobody cared. A follow up email was sent a year later, and the proposal had been completely forgotten about. It was allowed to continue as a side project, as long as it would not get in the way of the day job at CERN. Af...

Where did it go wrong? When Tim claimed he had accidentally lost the archive of development and rebuilt everything to the best of his knowledge. Claiming nobody at CERN helped himโ€ฆ not even the person who got him the funding, and not the person who helped him with code. Or maybe CERN not believing...

Ah, I see what you're getting at. Web's gotten heavy with all sorts of extras over the years. Tracking stuff, ads, scripts that slow down loading times. The simplicity and speed of the early web days are missed by many. Gotta find a balance between functionality and efficiency. Keep things lean and...
