As much as I like the idea of algorithmic choice, I think it’s a comfortable illusion.

Imagine asking a person which burger they’d rather have: this healthier one that’s not as tasty? Or this other one with mushrooms and cheese that tastes like god himself created it. Sure, you have a choice but you’re going to go with the divine burger.

The most interesting feed will be one that addicts you instantly like TikTok. Why would you want a less interesting feed unless you are actively thinking about algorithmic manipulation. And we know people don’t care about that since they don’t come to nostr if they did.
