What's your issue with the lightening network and privacy? Have you looked into Fedi and e-cash? Which is another layer above the lightening network. Here's a great pod to watch to get further dow...

This is not a trust me bro issue, ive been using Bitcoin since 2012 and have been going deep on privacy for 5 years. Ive studied exactly how chain analysis attacks much more private coins like Monero.

Theres a serious attack on privacy and we need solutions that are private by default.

Both LN and Fedi are weak to a global passive adversary like Chain analysis who is already proven to conduct large scale block chain surveillance.

Fedi servers IPs and public, super easy to correlate who is using them, Cashu is a little better but still suffers from:

- bad anonyminity sets on large amts
- many use custodial wallets on Nostr
- timing and amount fingerprinting is not that difficult
- invoices and spent secrets can be subpoenad

Additionally practice many use custodial wallets on Nostr, I actually just realized Primal is custodial and I'm going to switch.

There are so many holes its not even close to being private. We need solutions that are private by default.

Very good and interesting points. What did you think to the tornado cash mixing service they were doing and the like? The main point for btc is that the first thing for btc to solve it monetary debasement. Which it solves. Obviously scaling and privacy need to be solved completely. But that work ...

I also agree private by default is the way forward.... Hopefully decentralized and censorship resistant too.
