Now I admit it's been hardly a day or two. But out of following 200+ accounts maybe 10 followed me back. That's 5 percent or less.
Again, they don't have to follow me back. That's not the point.
And also, any number of accounts may be bots (I did not follow any account which is labeled as automated).
So I wonder, what is social media to them? Is it just reading popular posts? No attempt at making connections? Yes, this is indeed a bit frustrating to me.
