Idk. I think the companies are bargaining for state aid. I think the state might nationalise the models. Of course we might have KYC ai, like they're doing to social media, but I don't see the connection between this and that.

But then none of that would apply to open source... So it would be pretty absurd. CA's new age verification law for operating systems, as dumb of an idea that is overall, at least explicitly exempts anything with an open-source license.... So, desktop Linux unaffected.

Its not really even about AI, thats just the mode of transportation so to speak. Create fear around a thing so that there is public outcry and support for when government regulations come down. Often for sensitive things (ex. Nuclear power) they will restrict who can do what. By killing open source ...
