When the Romans ruled over Briton, they grew grapes as far north as Hadrian's wall. Probably before he built that (for reference). So, without a greenhouse, you can't do that today. Which tells you it was warmer back then. This suggests cyclical climate change. Or in plain English, zoom out you freak of nature
