Some feeds have the podcast:episode tag included which has the highest priority in my app. Everything else (pub date, ordering within the feed) as fallback. It seems to work quite well now!

I had the same issue with the tracks on my "Time Revisited, Pt. 1 + 2" album which actually combines two separate EPs I released on Spotify etc. Now, the pubdate for the tracks of course differs in this album, because the songs from Pt. 1 were released in 2018 and Pt. 2 in 2020. Although I added the podcast:episode tag most (all?) players ignore this and start to list the songs from Pt. 2 first. This does not make sense to me. Now with podtunes I finally have the correct track listing out there! ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜…
