I was born in the late 80s. Got my first bass guitar at 10 years old. Caught the recording bug immediately. Most engineers were making the transition to digital. I never had the chance to learn analog and I feel like I missed something. Any recommendations of how to get into it?

I did have a Roland digital 8 track growing up. This was my introduction into recording. It only had two inputs. But it maxed out at 8 and had the ability to bounce down, but it was always a sacred process to bounce down. Like Matt said, it forced you to get the song right before laying it down

Thanks for all your input concerning podtunes! Some tweaks, bugfixes, improvements and new features have already been implemented. The nightly workers are busy pulling latest feeds and building a solid data basis. Podping is now also integrated for much faster feed updates. πŸ’ͺ

Some feeds have the podcast:episode tag included which has the highest priority in my app. Everything else (pub date, ordering within the feed) as fallback. It seems to work quite well now!

I had the same issue with the tracks on my "Time Revisited, Pt. 1 + 2" album which actually combines two separate EPs I released on Spotify etc. Now, the pubdate for the tracks of course differs in this album, because the songs from Pt. 1 were released in 2018 and Pt. 2 in 2020. Although I added the podcast:episode tag most (all?) players ignore this and start to list the songs from Pt. 2 first. This does not make sense to me. Now with podtunes I finally have the correct track listing out there! πŸ€“πŸ˜…
