Have you tried setting up Pi-Hole? Takes the DNS filtering to the next level and blocks ads, trackers and gives you stronger controls over all of it.

Heard about it many times. Haven't tried yet. Mullvad is sufficient, but Pihole would be all local.

However I'm not sure it would work with how I isolate each and every network connection. It's and unusual and paranoid, just like me.

Gotcha! The way it works is that you can set up existing external DNS resolvers in the admin panel. I use Quad9, but you could probably set up Mullvad DNS as well. You could also set Mullvad Family as the backup DNS in your router so if something can't connect to the Pi-Hole server, it still has a p...
