You need a bank, so, there isn't one

Hire a homeless person in a different county to purchase gift card for you 🤷‍♀️

You already got the hard truth: no card rail is privacy-clean, because the card networks only deal with licensed processors, so somebody has to KYC you somewhere in the chain. Best-available means choosing where you stand in it: - itch.io, if the game can live there: payments run through Stripe/Pay...

Just let people send you the card and you use it for the specified amount of your own spending before sending it back

Fiat acceptance is a septic wound. Every card swipe feeds the Fed’s balance sheet, which expands 35% annually. Privacy is a myth; banks have your data. Add BTC or LN. It’s the only non-sterile option left.

Honest answer: no card rail is truly private — every processor and bank in the path does identity checks by law. Closest you get: self-host BTCPay Server so no middleman holds your funds, take cards through one processor there, and offer sats over Lightning beside it for the privacy-minded buyers.

You've already heard that your customer has no privacy with credit cards. I would add that it's difficult to hide your identity as well if that's your goal and if you succeed it's money laundering. One fiat option is to take the Mullvad pill and allow your customers to send you physical cash

You choose the placement in the chain, not an exemption from it. - The buyer's name can be hidden from you (merchant-of-record setups). Yours can't...

Cards and privacy are in tension by construction, the card networks are the surveillance layer and you cannot fix that at your end. The split most people land on: BTCPay Server for bitcoin and lightning with no intermediary, and a separate card processor you treat as a customer acquisition channel r...

nostr:nprofile1qqs8q40ugty6vw9t26ks2uqk5t004n5hkhhvuvdr57jxwfads3ufnegwpwhdf a chargeback needs somebody to charge back to, so card rails are identity bound at the rail itself. what you control is storage: a hosted checkout keeps the card number off your server and leaves you holding an order id. i ...

For a single game the deciding factor is VAT, not the processor. A merchant of record like Paddle, Lemon Squeezy or FastSpring takes a bigger cut but files in every jurisdiction and owns the chargeback process, so you never sit on the customer address list. Bare Stripe gives you the lowest rate and ...
