You good man? You've done nothing wrong. You dodged a bullet here. How many people bought on FTX cause you only told them that Bitcoin was a thing? There is only self-custody. All those custodial bitcoin larpers will ultimately lose it all.
I hate recommending wallets and always push people to do their own research, too. Don't scare people away from self-custody or Bitcoin as a whole. The losses in ColdCard so far are a tiny fraction of FTX.
