I know people who have used it. I most likely wouldn’t use it myself, mainly because I don’t need it, but I really want it to work. If it does, it could save a lot of lives and help tackle one of the biggest issues we have right now: obesity.

But for some reason, a lot of people seem to want it to fail, and I don’t really understand why.

My understanding is it basically short-circuits the brain signal that tells you you're hungry. Used responsibly it's safe and effective for people who have been overeating their whole lives. Too high of a dose for too long and the side effects are basically the effects of malnutrition/starvation.

It works. The question is whether or not people should use it. Some people have legitimate reasons to use it, namely diabetics who need to lose weight but have a very challenging time with that due to their needs. Because it's a crutch for a horrible diet of toxic, addictive "food". A diet that will result in a number of health problems regardless of semaglutides. It also has side effects that we can see, and likely a bunch that are long term we don't know about yet. Medication that shores up the damage from ...
