When I was 16, I got a Royal Enfield Desert Storm 500cc. I absolutely loved it and rode it everywhere. Then I got into an accident. I was covered in scratches, but my helmet and riding gloves probably saved me from much worse injuries. After that, I never got back on a bike. Now I only drive cars.

Just when I thought it couldn’t get any worse. How is that even real? It sounds like something out of a dystopian novel.

I hope they make an example of those responsible and that this becomes a turning point for the entire nation.

RIP Henry Nowak.

Yeah, I think hatred toward obese people is definitely playing a part there. It started as a pushback against the glamorization of obesity through magazine covers and all that, which was completely justified. But hating obese people as a whole is equally wrong, in my opinion.

I completely agree. As far as I know, the effects are often temporary if someone stops taking the medication and returns to their previous lifestyle. In many cases, people regain a significant amount of the weight they lost.

I've seen Dr. Kruse speculate that the mechanism could inadvertently block deuterium depletion, which could contribute to cognitive issues down the line. "GLP-1 agonists significantly slow gastric emptying and alter the secretion profile of the pancreas. Deuterium Retention: By slowing the "exhaus...

I know people who have used it. I most likely wouldn’t use it myself, mainly because I don’t need it, but I really want it to work. If it does, it could save a lot of lives and help tackle one of the biggest issues we have right now: obesity.

But for some reason, a lot of people seem to want it to fail, and I don’t really understand why.

My understanding is it basically short-circuits the brain signal that tells you you're hungry. Used responsibly it's safe and effective for people who have been overeating their whole lives. Too high of a dose for too long and the side effects are basically the effects of malnutrition/starvation.

There is no free lunch. It does work for weight loss, but at what cost? The long-term effects are unknown. Not worth the risk IMO. https://image.nostr.build/9d6da196dd8f2abbcac240e8db9724c33333e7f760f6818f578d87c6d71c2468.jpg

It works. The question is whether or not people should use it. Some people have legitimate reasons to use it, namely diabetics who need to lose weight but have a very challenging time with that due to their needs. For most, though, they just need good 'ole fashioned self-control. I know this perso...

Because it's a crutch for a horrible diet of toxic, addictive "food". A diet that will result in a number of health problems regardless of semaglutides. It also has side effects that we can see, and likely a bunch that are long term we don't know about yet. Medication that shores up the damage from ...

I've tried a variety of peptides. During one aggressive 4 month period I stacked tirzepetide with several testosterone boosters and IGF-1 and tesamorelin. Lost 20 pounds in 4 months and only 2 pounds was muscle.

Tempting but scary. Too new a drug to start taking it if you plan to live for longer than it exists in the market.

To be honest, after I posted that, I spent some time thinking about it. I think it's true to some extent, but there are a lot of situations where it doesn't really hold up.

What if someone is dealing with a chronic illness that has no cure? Or any number of circumstances that are completely outside their control? I'm not sure intelligence is the right measure in those cases.

If I could go back, I probably wouldn't have posted it. At the very least, I'd have phrased it differently.

I watched the video of that young man from the UK who was stabbed. His attacker called the police and accused him of racism. When the police arrived, they handcuffed the young man while he was bleeding to death. He died at the scene while the officers were reading him his rights.

I’m not even from the UK, but watching that was enough to make my blood boil.
