Was listening to RHR. It’s been a long time since I listened to a Bitcoin podcast. They were talking about BIP110 saying that it doesn’t actually stop spam. They said it doesn’t limit data size in the transactions, only the way it is formatted. Is this true? So if it doesn’t fix the spam problem, then what does it do besides centralize control?

Spammers have already bypassed every half assed filter thrown at them BIP110 is doomed to fail at stopping inscriptions yet could very well harm the network Well done bip110 retards, keep saving Bitcoin 🤦

Honestly if the people who think what 110 does is a good idea set up a proper hard fork where we would get clean separations. This drama would be dead. Since they are unwilling to do this I can’t take them seriously.

It stops most ordinals and would kill the $dog meme coin which became feasible via cores contentious update - an update which actually deleted Bitcoin wallets btw, and was pushed through by hierarchy within core. Protocol can mitigate spam but that’s not ever going to be a permanent solution wit...
