Was listening to RHR. It’s been a long time since I listened to a Bitcoin podcast. They were talking about BIP110 saying that it doesn’t actually stop spam. They said it doesn’t limit data size ...

It stops most ordinals and would kill the $dog meme coin which became feasible via cores contentious update - an update which actually deleted Bitcoin wallets btw, and was pushed through by hierarchy within core.

Protocol can mitigate spam but that’s not ever going to be a permanent solution with core or knots. Mat hill has an excellent solution for stopping spam via policy - he goes through it in this episode:

I highly recommend it to anyone trying to understand the debate. he is also completely neutral on the subject too btw.

Personally, I run bip 110 because it is decentralization at the node level. I’m uncomfortable with the fact Adam back and core has taken money from Epstein. I think that Core is a hierarchy and a major attack vector on Bitcoin. Many of the dev see BTC as a store of value instead of a medium of exchange.
