Aww how special! So fun to meet other pregnant people especially because I swear people aren't having babies anymore. As of right now I think we may wait until birth! I'm very eager to know though hah...

And yes, you're totally right on the not many people are having babies anymore. Where I live out in rural TN even, which, being part of the "Bible Belt" I'd think it'd be different. Birth rates across the entire globe are dropping, it's actually not good 😅! I've heard plenty of reasons to not have children, and so much fewer for having them over the course of my life; From resource scarcity, overpopulation, to just outright selfishness. Not a lot of people are talking about how the dwindling numbers of children will result in less workers, less torch carriers, and how our aging population will manage with that.
@Purple Painter is always saying philosophical things like, "the chicken is the egg's way of making more eggs", and in that vein, I get it now- the purpose of humans is to make more humans 😆. Of course I like to think more of myself and consider my responsibilities to be a good human and steward of the earth, member of society, etc. But it does give me a sense of peace to know that I'm growing a human and fulfilling that purpose!
