⚡️🚨 NEW - MOTION TO REMOVE @Luke Dashjr AS BIP EDITOR
Bitcoin Core developer Murch has recommended removing Luke Dashjr from his position as a BIP Editor.
Murch cited Dashjr’s involvement in BIP-110 and accused him of using his editorial authority inconsistently, including prematurely assigning the proposal a BIP number and quickly merging an update despite contributing little to the BIP Editors’ workload in recent years.
He also cited a breakdown in “trust, communication, and coordination” with other BIP Editors and argued that Dashjr’s support for a contentious soft fork that could evolve into a hard fork represents “a complete departure from the Bitcoin development ecosystem.”
“For these reasons, I motion that Luke be removed as a BIP Editor.”
