i'm feeling pretty good about this sky rendering experiment. I'm just going to render the atmosphere layers in order one at a time without any depth testing and then i probably don't even need to car...
this probably wont hold up once i start mapping textures to it, but i'm delighted at how nice this looks when i drop the vertex count
