when setting up my new laptop i am intending to break /home and /nix into their own partitions. The NVME is 512GB so i am thinking / = 20GB /nix = 50GB swap = 16GB (2x RAM) /home = all remaining Tho...

I wouldnt do it. There's no real point. I used to do it but then most of what goes into /home is so specific to your system its not easy to just replace your system and keep it. What I did do was create a second partition and make all the crap directories, like Downloads and Documents and such, symlinked to ones on that other partition.

I'm looking for a vpn which is able to push 10 megabytes/s 24/7, mostly upload. Maybe someone knows something like that? That's a lot of traffic per month

Simplified Privacy is not designed for that as of right now as far as I'm aware, its designed for day to day internet useage, and honestly most VPNs are designed for day to day users running applications and using web browsers and such.

Have you considered running a VPS somewhere with a wireguard tunnel, basically your own little single node VPN? You could probably find a VPS provider that suits your needs for under 10 USD a month, even the smallest VPS could run that, your concern would be unlimited bandwidth and there are providers that offer that. And there are a few that will take btc or xmr. Maybe look into that, sounds like your best bet over a consumer VPN service.

That's why I don't overload such "standard" vpns. But even a vps wont help much, 25 * 2 = 50TB a month is pretty high, even an "unlimited" option will probably ask me to "brooo can you turn it down a bit".
