@nprofile1q... Darn, looks like no. Still, knowing about the Slow Cook setting I'd managed not to notice should help a lot. (I haven't needed it since that earlier discussion so I still haven't tried it.)

@nprofile1q... Neat! I'll try to find the manual for mine and find out if it has custom settings too.

That time limit is annoying when I'm trying to boil jam to thicken it after pressure cooking. I have to remember to keep restarting it.

@nprofile1q... Thanks, I'll keep my eyes open. Personally I'm fine with user.js, which I've been using for many years; but I'm very happy to know that the preferences will be exposed before too long where normal users will see them too.

@nprofile1q... I like lightweight environments (I use the openbox window manager, no desktop), and don't have a need for the services that heavyweight desktops offer. I like the speed -- I find the heavyweight desktops a bit laggy except on latest-and-greatest hardware -- and I also like the stability: my openbox config works on every distro, no worries about version mismatches or figuring out workarounds when an upgrade breaks something. Nothing against KDE, it's great, just not my thing.

@nprofile1q... True, but I wish there were better options. Konqueror is really for people already running inside the KDE ecosystem; installing it on my non-KDE Debian system would pull in 188 (!) additional packages I don't want and would never use. Vivaldi is tempting, but I have a bias against closed-source that I'd have to get past. I did use Pale Moon for a while, but there were several things about it that irritated me and the community seemed unfriendly, so I switched back.
