Calm but dreary

Dreadful drops of chill

Air moist with terror & thrill

Disguising the secrets we hide

Drinkable in Youth

Adventurous Spirit, Toil, & Troubled pursuit

The yearning to grow at any cost

And copy our models to seek the truth

Earthly dwellings meet open pastures

Our lives were never meant to be mastered

The river of youth flows on & on

The chaos & butterflies often intertwine

To stand on the ground that’s just yours & mine

The curiosity to look behind the veil

To strike a spark of our own lover’s tale

Caught in the act & lost in feeling

Age hasn’t taught us what we know in spirit

They stomp our fire hiding from fear

Free at last we declare

As we stand all alone queer in our underwear

Our denied connection is a failure to pursue

The same path as our youthful companions

Our childish attempts to fire the cannon

Watching other lives through a hollow lens

The vision is blurry for the voyeur at his ends

Our action is honorable amongst thieves
