Haha, thanks for that! Sick amount of trees for one day absolutely worthless paper. Good they went to digital trees but that also made the printing less obvious and takes zero effort.

They promise more paper than there are trees

I asked a clanker about this! Results below:

Original Question
How many trees would it take to print 10 quadrillion $1 bills?

Direct Answer
264–288 billion trees (assuming standard virgin wood-pulp printing paper).

Key Assumptions
- 10¹⁶ bills at ~1g each → ~11 billion metric tons of paper.- ~20–24 trees per ton of paper (small/medium trees, ~40 ft tall, 6–8" diameter).

Real-World Note
Actual U.S. $1 bills use cotton/linen rag paper (0 trees).

Vs. Annual Global Lumber/Roundwood
Equivalent to 13–29 years of global production (~1,300%–2,900% of one year's harvest).Global annual roundwood: ~2 billion m³ (~10–20 billion trees equivalent).
