A delight to read this article! In the interest of interacting with other humans who read the same long-form piece, here is a thought of mine:
I feel like economists and traders put too much emphasis on the 20th century: lessons they have learned, principles they have derived. To me, our era more resembles a fall into a Bronze Age civilization, namely the Bronze Age Collapse, but in reverse. More specifically: king-priests, city-states, gods, magic, cuneiform debt and credit, sacrifice, logiclessness, folk and race, etc.
