I AM A SPOKEN WORD POET

I'm a spoken word poet,
of course, my words speak louder than my actions,
and sometimes, they’re the only thing I can trust,
to say what my heart is too scared to show.

I don't just write poems;
I breathe them, live them, let them wrap around my thoughts
like a warm blanket on a cold night.

My pen doesn't just move—it dances,
because each word, each line,
is a part of the rhythm in my soul.

I may stumble on the stage,
but the words—oh, they never falter.
They stand tall,
strong,
even when I feel small.

I speak in silence too,
when my thoughts refuse to make sound,
my eyes become the verse,
my silence, the poetry.

I’m a poet,
and my words?
They don’t just tell a story—they make one

Rest In Peace 🥀

Today, I stumbled on an old diary
It's pages stained with echoes of a life once so wild,
A collection of regrets, desires and shadows,
A history of mistakes inked in haste
Each line a testament to days lived in folly

In those pages, I saw the girl I once was
The one tangled in webs of her own making
A soul adrift in a sea of mis;steps and wrong turns
Every turn a mark of ignorance

In those pages, I saw battles of lust that raged within me
Each desire a scar and each satisfaction a weapon
A record of wounds inflicted in blind rage
In the temple of my body lust burned like wildfire, consuming all reason to resist

In those pages, I saw a blind, naive girl
Who didn't see the worth within her own body
She let it down, abused it
Mistaking momentary pleasures for lasting value
Her self worth buried beneath layers of disregard
Each embrace a transaction, each touch a betrayal
A cycle of use and abandonment, leaving scars unseen

In those pages, I saw a walking dead
A soul wandering through existence
Half alive in the pursuit of hollow dreams
Eyes wide open, yet blind to the light
Moving through days as if sleepwalking
Each day a repetition of yesterday
I saw the depth of my demise
A life lived in the graveyard of sin

Today, I came across the obituary of my old self
May she rest in peace

Dear You,

I just wanted to take a moment to remind you of something important—change is a natural part of life, and with it comes immense potential for growth. The path to becoming the best version of ourselves isn’t always smooth or easy, but it’s always worth it. Challenges and setbacks are not signs of failure, but opportunities for transformation and learning.

As you face whatever comes your way, remember that resilience, faith, and self-awareness are your guiding lights. Keep moving forward with courage, and trust that the process of growth is shaping you into who you are meant to be. Celebrate every step, no matter how small, because it’s all part of the journey.

You’ve got this!

Warmly,
Riches ☺️
