While I do agree seed oils are bad, they're not causing obesity. Obesity is caused by overeating, ridiculous portions sizes and sugar drinks In short, too many calories Secondary is this idea that...

I am also an obese bitcoiner, struggling daily with a sugar addiction. Will I ever not be obese? Time will tell. Will I ever not be addictes to sugar? I doubt it.

I will say that oils were not that hard to give up. I assume that I still consume some when dining out, but not enough to matter. I've definitely experienced benefits directly related to not having oils in my diet, including a much higher resistance to sunburn.

I was reflecting today on how many ways people poison themselves, gladly, in the name of health. I don't care if someone wants to eat a plant. Sure, they are ingesting whatever plant toxins it has, but hopefully in a very low amount compared to what may cause harm. I think processed "foods" are possibly the worst offenders, along with "supplements". Saw a jar or powder claiming "Fiber - with real sugar!". To me, that reads "cardboard, with real cocaine!". And to be fair, cocaine might be preferable, and do less damage! People consume this shit because the govt and pharma tells them so, and poison themselves as a result.

So go ahead, eat some berries. Maybe some lettuce or a cucumber or whatever. I choose not to, but you do you. If you're not a sugar addict, maybe have some honey once in a while. But don't eat shit out of boxes, plastic bottles, etc. Your food should be recognizable as its ingredients. Just my thoughts as an obese bitcoiner.

I still live in the same town I grew up in, even the same zip code. My first vehicle was a '79 Bronco, lifted with 33x12.5" tires. I loved that truck and worked my ass off for it. Ironically, I stall...

As someone who grew up in an area with flash floods that claimed lives every year, not to mention plenty of cars, I agree. Don't drive in floodwater if you can avoid it. Doesn't matter if you mud bog on the weekends. When you can't avoid it, I'd still prefer to be in something with lots of clearance and minimal electrical requirements. And if it stalls, the starter is at the bottom of the motor, and is electric. So don't stall.

And your next plan is to buy an electric vehicle with low ground clearance? Interesting choice. May I humbly suggest an even mildly lifted pickup or large SUV that is over 25 years old, maybe 35 years old? It would solve most of this evening's issues, when used strategically. Mine is a '93 Suburban. Also an '87 GMC pickup. Either would likely be swept away by floodwaters before flooding out their motors.

Ironically, I stalled it out during a summer flood in the '90s, just four houses down from where my wife nearly did the...

How often do you consider the fact that you don’t see reality, just human reality tuned specifically for our evolutionary fitness and survival. And if you were to see the full breadth of reality you...

I have embodied a life of understanding reality only through the lens of my own perceptions, and have also read Hoffman. I don't agree with the assertion that viewing the full breadth of reality is a path to extinction, as I don't believe it is possible to do so as humans.

I like Hoffman's computer screen analogy, and that would be even less possible than a human "seeing" the flow of electricity through the circuits on a motherboard in a meaningful way, i.e. forming text and images displayed on a screen, but with no screen.

I believe I have consumed the right amount of psychedelics to be exposed to glimpses of altered realities, enough to understand there is much more out there than what we experience and perceive, but I feel no need to revisit that altered state.

I also maintain we have the concept of time all wrong. Cause and effect (in that order) are dubious and limited at best, and what we are beginning to understand through quantum mechanics will be transformative in our evolution as a species. The more I learn about the Hindu concepts of time, the more I sm finding them agreeable.

What if I told you that each soul descends into this physical world with a unique and preordained purpose? Many mistakenly believe that our careers are what we are “meant to do”. However, our true...

I would say I do not accept your reality as my own, but you have done well at explaining what you understand to be true.

Not accepting it doesn't make it any less true or real, I just choose to interact with a reality where the future is yet to be determined, and my path will determine my future. You may see your path differently, and that is fine.

I wish you enjoyment along the way. We can always benefit from some more enjoyment!

I appreciate that. I am not here to convince anyone. Albeit, I think both can be true at the same time, that we come here with a purpose but that there are infinite realities running parallel that we can choose to live into. Like different movies playing in the same cinema at the same time. And we d...
