Hivemind to the rescue!

I've got two NOIP1SN0300A (aka Python 300) sensor from OnSemi and they both have this fixed noise pattern in the image. It's not in the test pattern, so I suspect something in the analog config.

The full description of the registers is only available with an NDA, but I found a driver on GitHub that has the initialization sequences (albeit without much explanation.)

Does anyone have more information on that sensor or maybe even access to the documentation?

I finally had the opportunity to test an idea: Use a linear CCD-array and the motion of a train to capture an image.

And yes, the images aren't very good as the setup was very improvised. My ModularCamera held in one hand, taking "screenshots" with my phone in the other hand. BUT it proves that it works! And it also made clear that you need quite the fast readout speeds to not get very squished images at normal ICE speeds.

The longer I'm looking at the pictures, the more I like them...

Anyone interested in a Tektronix 1765 Waveform Vector Monitor (working) and a Tektronix WFM 601M Serial Component Monitor (not working, but might be fixable) in a 19" enclosure.

For free if you pick it up at FabLab Munich.
More info on request. Please boost!

I finally got the data transfer from the AISC110C high-speed camera sensor working!

It's a 5€ chip that outputs 80x120 video at up to 40k fps.

Data is read with a Xilinx Spartan7 and transmitted via USB3 with a Cypress FX3, each on its own little PCB.

The front PCB is exchangeable, making this a neat modular platform. I already have an analog video frontend with the ADV7182 and am working on a Cameralink interface.

Videos are coming tomorrow, I need more light for the high framerates.

Made a pair of earrings for a friend.

The maple seeds were dried, coated with graphite lacquer and then electroplated with copper. After rinsing an electroless silver plating was applied. I soldered a small eyelet to the tops and attached the hooks.

They have been worn for a few weeks now and still look good as new!
