Indeed. And note that he was not simply encouraging independent investigation: he said "interrogate those who tell us something is true." Often, you can find out there is no reason to believe what someone says, simply by asking them why they think you should believe it.

Do you have a 3D printer? I held off from this craze for years because all I saw were tons of failed prints and frustrated students messing with glue sticks and doing endless recalibrations. This generation of machines seems to have gotten past all that. Nearly everything I've asked it to make, it has made without a problem. Thanks goodness it's not faster, or I'd be in debt for the filament by now.

I'm trying to figure out how anyone could say that without bursting into flame. Do they mean, "I'll go to your funeral?" Or, "I'll testify at the hearing when the man who raped you refuses to pay child-support after I force you to have his baby?" Maybe it's just, "I donate to white Christian causes."
Honestly, makes less sense to me than, "Jumbo shrimp."
