I am not a lawyer, but the terms of the mortgage itself should not change, because that is contractual — i.e. interest rate, period/term, etc. What I believe can change are details of the mortgage *servicing* — payment due dates, late fees & penalties, how much escrow is required for prop taxes, etc. But yeah: capitalism.

@nprofile1q... @nprofile1q... I have taken to making up superscript alts for *†‡ and putting them in {sups}, leaving defaults at more conventional size. I did make up a superior § once, but don’t generally now. Although it is traditionally the fourth (per Chicago Manual of Style), it is far less common in my experience. Usually by the time you get to four notes on a page, I find most authors/editors will switch to use numbering instead of symbols.
