We’re not currently planning on making a web client but I know a few others are using our marmot-ts library to that end. Still early on the web side. In the meantime, we are working on the multi-d...

@JeffG thanks for the quick and clear answer! Really appreciate it 🙌

Makes sense - Mobile first (current), multi-device next as a foundation, then desktop.

I came across the marmot-ts reference implementation here - https://github.com/marmot-protocol/marmots-web-chat - and I'd love to get my hands dirty with marmot-ts as well.

If you have any tasks or directions where you could use a hand, I'd be genuinely excited to contribute. 👨‍💻

TypeScript is my main language, and I'm really interested in diving deeper into MLS.

I liked 0xchat and keychat better. these apps have many other web nostr apps (napps). it is very convenient when you have many nostr apps in one client. keychat also has nip-ee, like whitenoise. 0xcha...

Hey @linux_privacy , thanks for sharing about #Keychat and its features - especially the private subscriptions, that's a neat one! 👌

I've dabbled with #0xchat too from time to time.

I'm totally with you on the wishlist though. I really dig the UI/UX and overall look & feel of #Whitenoise - it's just so clean. Would love to have it as my default #IM across the board. 🤞

Appreciate the insights! 🙏

As a Nostr user, I'm looking to make #Whitenoise my primary instant messenger for both mobile and desktop browsing 📱💻

I noticed the README shows Web support is currently marked as "⏳ Not supported yet."

I understand that Flutter/Dart mobile on iOS and Android is sufficiently functional for communicating with family, friends and colleagues ✅, but for a seamless cross-platform experience, web support would be invaluable.

Some questions for the @White Noise team 🙋:

Could you please share what the current plans are regarding a web client like Discord, Telegram, Signal, WhatsApp, Google Chat (Hangouts), WeChat, and Matrix Element Web? 🌐

Is #WhitenoiseWeb on the roadmap for the near future? 🗺️

I believe a web client would significantly expand Whitenoise's accessibility and user base 🚀.

Looking forward to your thoughts! 👋

cc/ @JeffG for any insights on the project direction 🔍

We’re not currently planning on making a web client but I know a few others are using our marmot-ts library to that end. Still early on the web side. In the meantime, we are working on the multi-device spec now. This is a precursor to making a desktop client. I’m also [impatiently] waiting for...
