@nprofile1q... If you don't care how it looks, you can get Permatex Rust Treatment from most auto parts places. It dabs on, turns black, and seals the rust very well. I used it on some nicked door edges and other spots on my old car, works just fine.

This little souvenir booklet shows how incredibly charming Storytown U.S.A. was in its original incarnation. It was a very simple amusement park near Lake George, NY, and when last I was there, perhaps 15 years ago, many of these structures were still there to wow small children. Full booklet at the link.

Bike tire is doing this but is not leaking air somehow. Is this more of a “don’t ride the bike until the tire is replaced” situation or more of a “ride until you start losing air” situation?...

@nprofile1q... Oh, that's catastrophically not good. Leaking air is the least of your worries, especially if you run at any pressure. The tire structure is compromised. I see below you're having a pro look at it, that's good.

@nprofile1q... Like everywhere, it's being more and more overrun with new housing on every open acre of field, but there are still some lovely open spaces and semi-country roads. Can't speak to pickle barrels or the rye; in fact, I feel utterly defeated in finding rye around here. Everything's gone sourdough.
