Shower thought solution on social media algos.

Free speech works only if different viewpoint interact.
But current algos incentivise bubbles.

My suggestion:

On post creation you get some “credits” (special likes?). If you “spend” them on an opposing view, both your post and the opposing account get promoted by the algo.

“Views” are probably some algo bubble you are tagged in that is already implemented whether you like it or not.

If you want to grow your reach, you are incentivised to promote opposing views on your posts and search for opposing views posts to comment.

I’m sure you are already thinking of a way to game this and that’s ok. Every game is already rigged.

What about it? It's a spectrum. My Claw runs in an isolated VPS with a firewall that allows only Tailnet traffic. The calendar I gave it access to is a proxy that does not have any event details, but only blockers. That way it is able to schedule for me without knowing anything about my schedule but...

This is silly because it’s admiting gender is a performance, which REINFORCES gender stereotypes.

At some point we lost our way: the word “woman” or “man” was on its way (still a long way to go of course) to lose relevancy socially). “So you are man? That says very little about you. Let’s learn more relevant stuff”.

But now? It’s an illogical clusterfuck.

Under the Invention Secrecy Act, the US Government would be incentivised to keep encryption breaking technology (quantum) a secret, so it could hold some intel advantage.

Remember this act has produced over 5.500 orders from inception.

Some will have access to this info and dump bitcoin.

This could the be most probable (and worst) outcome because it would create even more confusion and inertia on a much needed upgrade. You would have the dump AND no upgrade urgency.

Most people agree quantum is not very good for anything else yet, so it would be the perfect target for the Invention Secrecy Act.
