Highly recommend Kobo for switching from Kindle! I made the swap over a year ago now and absolutely love it.

No, as a reader I would prefer to see the actual cover of the book and the blurb. Also would be interested in the age range of the book. Usually you can tell from cover design, if not explicitly state the age range.
