@nprofile1q... you even get that *within* Tesco in areas with a large Asian population. You’ll get all the tiny regular packages of spices, flour and rice on the usual aisles, but if you find the hidden “world food” aisle you get it in bulk/cheap 😀

@nprofile1q... the X reg plate (1981) will be the Land Rover’s original registration, I imagine. Q plates are for kit cars, custom builds, and vehicles where the original age is unknown.

So, it's 2026 and I've just had my ~30 year old Palm III given back to me. Batteries seem to have leaked, but cleaning the contacts has done the trick and it's working!

It's got IrDA and 9-pin serial, which none of my modern computers have, and no removable storage. How the hell do I get software on this thing in 2026 with a linux laptop? I've got a USB to serial dongle, just got no idea what software to use.

But, as an Oldfield-related aside, I happened to stick Five Miles Out on yesterday, and it was a re-release with a whole live show from 1982 on it! IMHO it’s much better than Exposed, and I can’t believe they sat on that recording for so long.

Well this sucks hard. I’ve really been enjoying using Ubuntu for the last couple of years. The transition from Mac was relative smooth, now it seems I may have to look for a new distro, depending on just how opt in/out this turns out to be.
