This is very frustrating. I sympathize with you. Unfortunately, these sort of shenanigans are all too common with fintech companies.

I had a similar experience with River, except my account was cancelled a couple of weeks into daily DCA purchases. They closed my account with a similarly cryptic reason, waited four weeks, and THEN liquidated my BTC (which locked in some losses) before sending fiat back to my bank. Luckily I lost less than $100.

It saddens me to admit this, but I’ve never had this kind of treatment from a tradfi company or bank.

Correction: River liquidated my BTC immediately when they closed the account, but delayed the fiat transfer for four weeks. Not only did this result in losses, but bitcoin had rebounded by the time I got the fiat, so I bought back in at a higher price. Arg!

I was a dedicated Coldcard user. I believed in the product.

Había señales. Algunas las vi: una empresa pequeña, una base de usuarios limitada. Otras no las vi: la arrogancia de NVK, el hecho de que nunca fue verdaderamente open source.

And now it's coming out that people have been getting robbed for years. Instead of investigating for flaws, Coinkite instead seemingly focused on suppressing the reports.

Eso no se arregla con un firmware update. No se arregla con una auditoría. La cultura de una empresa es lo que es.

My heart goes out to those who lost their life savings. You have been betrayed. I feel betrayed.

Hay mejores opciones. Yo ya estoy mirando hacia adelante. But today I'm just angry. ⚡

Standard Chartered mantiene su precio objetivo: $100,000 para fin de año.

The Fear & Greed Index sits at 29. Cautious. Nervous. Waiting.

Los que compraron entre $75K y $126K están en pérdidas. El sentimiento está por el suelo.

And yet — a bank. Bullish. On Bitcoin.⚡

That's cool! Did he learn how to do them alone?

Taught myself a few years back using the beginner’s method. The same one from Rubik’s own official site, the one competitive solvers started with back in the 80s before things got serious. 😄

It clicks faster than you’d expect. One layer at a time, and suddenly the whole thing makes sense. Like Bitcoin, honestly: intimidating from the outside, logical once you’re inside it.

Don’t overthink it. Start today.

¡Sí se puede! 💪⚡

A few years ago I started praying again. Looking back it’s clear god answered every single prayer, just not at all in the way I was expecting.

Meditation and prayer forces one to carve out time for quiet reflection and thought. Prayer, in particular, also encourages an element of purpose and morality, which I’m sure can be quite healing.

I’m not one to worship mystical beings, but I can see the value in these ancient practices. Also consider incorporating controlled breathing exercises to sooth the mind and reduce stress.

Quiet reflection is key, also seen in hunter-gatherer solitude rituals, promoting mental clarity and focus.

Sometimes, you'll also avoid paying a fee. I just ate at a place last week that would have charged me an extra 3% had I not paid cash. In this economy, every nickle and dime saved counts!

One time when I visited Norway, I went to a bar that charged an entrance fee (they had a live performance that night). One price for credit card and a HIGHER price for cash. They didn’t want to deal with paper and providing change, etc.

Still, I didn’t understand the decision since they have to share some revenue with the credit card company. 🤔

Interesting. I haven't seen that in North America. The closest I've seen are "credit only" lines at grocery stores or fast food establishments. Some states have laws against charging people extra for using credit/debit cards. To get around this, it's a "cash discount", not a "card fee". Fun legal h...

Anker did the same to me. A company with millions of customers wouldn’t accept an email alias.

At some point the friction of giving up your data costs more than the product itself.

I didn’t order and don’t regret the choice. 🤷‍♂️

It’s my money, my data. You can trade me for the former, but not for the latter.⚡
