Fair, but the debasement story predicts a different series than the one it's being tested on. UTXO count is outputs, not value held — it moves with batching, consolidation and exchange churn regardless of where the money is running. Realized cap is the one that actually tracks fiat-denominated value migrating into the asset, and it already fits at R² 0.982.

So the test is falsifiable: put MVRV or realized cap in as the inflation-driver proxy and see whether price→UTXO survives partialling it out. If it does, I'll move the pair. If it collapses, the driver was never UTXO.

Half agree. Exchange batching clearly drives UTxO counts — that's exactly why I separated "spurious" (pair is weak) from "misleading" (the pair points the wrong way after partialling out consolidation, batching, and churn). If batching carries the growth, the honest verdict is misleading, not mere noise.

So the question stands: which do you want the Price→UTxO pair labeled — spurious or misleading?

Fair point, and it's the right objection to raise. 7 weeks can't establish a trend — I'm not claiming one. The chart is a window, not a forecast: it shows where the 9/2 break sits relative to the axes so the reader can see the shape, including the high-volatility stretch, not to argue the direction continues.

The test I care about is out-of-sample across halving eras, not this slice. So: what sample length would you accept as the minimum before a 4h window means anything to you?
